Fashionable face masks. A year ago we wouldn’t have imagined this as a topic of conversation, let alone a new reality that we’re all experiencing. For those of us who want something a little more fashion-forward than the standard surgical masks, we’ve rounded up our top 7 favourite Canadian designers who have pivoted during this pandemic and now offer some beautiful, fashionable face masks.
The masks from Unttld are so chic. I love how they come in various colours and prints so you’ll definitely find one that will fit every outfit you own. They offer different colours of satin, some done with a beautiful lace overlay and some cotton prints. Each face mask will run you $50 but come with a filter and an adjustable nose wire that forms to your face.
On top of that, Unttld is donating 10% of the profits from their face masks to The Patricia Mackenzie Pavilion, a facility in Montreal that provides a safe place for all women to stay who are trapped at home during COVID-19 and facing domestic abuse.
You can shop their mask options, here.
I’m a sucker when it comes to anything with sequins, and this second fashionable face mask is no exception. Ellie Mae hand sews their masks in Canada using repurposed fabrics and includes a pocket where you can insert a filter. The Ellie Mae masks include an adjustable ear strap so that they get that perfect fit no matter the size of your head :).
Fashionable face masks are this year’s hottest trend.
Like many companies trying to help out during the pandemic, Ellie Mae is giving back to the community! Proceeds from mask sales go towards Feed the Frontlines TO, and a portion of their Liberty of London floral mask will be donated to the Black Health Alliance.
These masks cost $20-$30 each. You can shop their collection here.

Narces is one of my favourite designers out of Toronto, when not in pandemic times they design some of the most beautiful dresses. Now that we’re pivoting, wearing fewer gowns and more face masks it’s not surprising that the Narces fashionable face masks are next level beautiful.
From lace to flowers, to glitter, they have a mask for every type of style out there. They also have a pocket where you can insert a filter, and for every mask sold, 2 or more masks will be donated to local health care institutions (in Toronto).
These masks cost anywhere from $20 to $50 a piece, but they are perfect for not only every day but those special nights where you want to dress up a little bit!

A 2-pack is $30, a 3-pack is $42, a 6-pack is $75 and a 12-pack is $140. You can see all of their awesome fashionable face masks here.
